I am a pediatric physical therapist practicing in the pediatric and neonatal critical care units at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. I completed undergraduate training in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology at the University of Florida and received my Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Washington University in St. Louis. I am currently a PhD candidate at the University of Florida studying Respiratory Muscle Strength and Function in Pediatric Patients with Congenital Heart Defects. I have extensive experience in progressive mobility programs in pediatric critical care and was the lead program developer for our pediatric ECMO mobility program. I am passionate about improving care and quality of lift for critically ill children and continue to perform research on both ECMO mobility in infants and children as well as respiratory muscle strength and function in critically ill infants and children.
