MICHAEL MCMULLAN

Michael McMullan serves as the Chief of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery and Codirector of the Heart Center at Seattle Children's Hospital and is a professor. He is Professor and Section Chief of Congenital Cardiac Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He previously served as president of the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization and is currently a member of the ELSO Strategic Advisory Committee. He and his team have developed high-fidelity surgical ECLS simulation systems that are currently used by many centers to improve patient care and safety. His team has recently made major advances in the field of bloodless/blood conservation surgery and have established a leading bloodless pediatric cardiac surgery program.
